Pigeon Island

In the area of ​​Pigeon Island, 1 km from the diving base, you'll see colorful corals, eels, small groups of different fish or colorful drawn boxfish. Let yourself drift while iridescent parrotfish and damselfish pass slowly. Filigree Lined sweetlips fish standing elegantly in the flow , butterfly fish and banner fish dancing before the dark blue curtain of the sea. With some luck you have encounters with turtles, various species of ray or even blacktip reef sharks there.

Nilaveli: Our boats depart from the Nilaveli Diving Centre (1) at 9.00 h and 14.00 h, or by appointment. Check In is at 8.30 h and 13.30 h at our Diving Centre.
Duration: about 3 hours
Boat : onboard with max. 7 snorkelers
Pick Up/Drop Off: for free between Trincomallee and Kuchuveli


from 12 Euro per person (p.p.) to 20 Euro p.p. (12 years), depending on the number of participants. Max. 7 snorkelers per boat. 5 Euro extra if snorkelling equipment is required. Minimum age is 4 years. Children under 6 are free, and from 6 - 12 applies the half price . Entrance fees in the Pigeon Island National Marine Park are around 15 Euro p.p., depending on the number of participants.
